A lot has changed over the past 10 years. Both Matt and I are dads now...been a few moves
here and there, but we are still good friends and we have started writing another record
together. The Halo Blue has always been more of a concept than a band: a way to distill the
pain, sorrow, and depression of life into music, yet, still find the goodness of God in all of it. We
are melancholy, but with hope.
We have a few of Matt’s old songs on the new record that have touched me deeply over the
years...songs that make me want to make music. Also, some songs we wrote that didn't make it
on “You’re Cordially Invited”, some songs from writing sessions a few years back, and also
brand new material we are working on. We are happy to be writing together again.
You can expect to hear that classic Synth-Pop style that we embraced as a band, along with the
Indie Rock and Emo sounds of our previous release. Also, we are hoping to play some shows in
the DFW area and Tulsa to support our new project. New content coming soon.
